Head of Quality

For our business partner, a global organization with safety systems production units on several continents, we are looking for a Head of Quality, responsible for overseeing the compliance of the internal and external quality standards. We are looking for a highly motivated and results oriented Quality professional with passion for implementing change and driving continuous improvement.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor of Science/Technical/Textiles degree or equivalent;
  • Fluent in English speaking and writing;
  • Minimum of five (5) years’ experience in Quality Supervision and/or R&D/Engineering Management;
  • Experience from working with safety products, preferably related to automotive and textiles;
  • Experience in Quality Systems such as IATF 16949 and ISO 9001;
  • Excellent leadership, communication skills paired with strong innovative thinking;
  • Good interpersonal skills with ability to communicate and negotiate effectively across all levels and all functions of the organization;
  • Excellent understanding/appreciation of the broader business environment and application of technical and commercial knowledge during project execution;
  • Strong skills in project management and critical experience in product development. 

Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for providing leadership to the Quality, such that the work environment provides the tools the process and staff requires to achieve excellence;
  • Encourage innovation and continuous improvement by staff; 
  • Responsible for compliance to ISO 9001 and IATF 16949;
  • Staff liability over: Technical Manager (Romania), Quality Managers (Romania);
  • Maintenance, development and monitoring the efficiency and effectiveness of Quality System;
  • Coordinate internal and external audits;
  • Assist process owners and others on the ISO 9001/IATF 16949 Standards;
  • Prepare and submit annual department budgeting to the management;
  • Development, implement and monitor goals and objectives;
  • Develop, monitor, and report performance measures to staff and Management team;
  • Compliance to management manual IATF 16949, ISO 9001 requirements;
  • Create, review and/or revise procedures/processes to increase efficiency;
  • Ensure compliance with all applicable safety and environmental laws and regulations.
